Europa Therme Bad Füssing

The Europa Therme in Bad Füssing is one of the largest and most popular thermal baths in Europe and the flagship of the Lower Bavarian Spa Triangle, which comprises the three spa towns of Bad Füssing, Bad Griesbach and Bad Birnbach south of Passau. The very sight of the sprawling bathing and sauna landscapes conveys why the region draws millions of guests each year in search of relaxation and relief.

The spa is fed by a thermal spring whose sulphurous healing water rises to the surface at around 56 degrees Celsius from a depth of over 1,000 metres. For decades, this mineral-rich water has been credited with a beneficial effect on rheumatic complaints and musculoskeletal disorders. Across a vast pool and lounging area lie indoor and outdoor pools, soothingly warm bubble loungers, current channels, massage jets and generous sauna landscapes with infusion ceremonies.

The bath is embedded in the mild healing climate and gentle hilly landscape of the lower Inn valley, where extensive cycling and walking paths invite movement in the fresh air. Together with the surrounding spa towns and their wellness hotels, the Spa Triangle makes this area one of Germany's most important health and recreation regions — and a relaxed contrast to a city tour of Passau.
