Spring and Autumn Dult 2026: the dates
Passau's traditional folk festivals are confirmed: the Spring Dult and the Autumn Dult once again bring festival tents, fairground rides and local delicacies to the Dultplatz peninsula.
The City of Passau has announced the dates of its two major folk festivals. The Spring Dult traditionally opens the festival summer and turns the fairground by the Inn into a meeting point for young and old for around a week and a half — with a beer tent, fairground rides, a market and Lower Bavarian delicacies. In autumn, the Autumn Dult follows, rounding off the cycle of Passau folk festivals and beginning with the traditional tapping of the first keg at the opening ceremony. Both Dults have been part of the firmly rooted customs of the City of Three Rivers for generations and draw visitors from across the surrounding region and neighbouring Austria. The city points out that the fairground is within easy walking distance of the old town and that additional bus connections are laid on during the events.
